Sunday Morning Service 10:00am (this is our main Sunday service)
Sunday Evening Service 5:00pm
Wednesday Evening Prayer Gathering 6:45pm
Every Sunday, approximately 2000 people gather for music, Scripture, and a message from the Bible intended to bring about transformation in our lives. We are, in effect, preparing ourselves to be ambassadors for Christ in the world. The morning service typically lasts 75 minutes.
Guests are also invited to attend a Visitors Reception after the morning service to find out more about the church and how to get involved.
Our Sunday Night Service is a casual, contemporary worship service where you’ll connect with people from theimmediate neighborhood and all around the city. We meet every week from 5-6:15pm to sing, pray, and hear God’sWord.
We’ll have great coffee ready for you.
Meeting Time: Every Sunday at 5PM in Clarkview (right off of the 1635 LaSalle Street entrance)
We come to church to worship God, so modest dress is appropriate. However, all styles are welcome, and you’ll see people wearing anything from jeans to suits.
We have a number of programs and opportunities for your children on Sunday morning. Our TMC Kids program is on the 2nd floor of the church, accessible by all elevators in the building. We offer a secure check-in system at the kiosk computers. A Welcome Team is on staff every Sunday to answer questions, help you check in, and point you in the right direction. Your kids will have a blast with us every Sunday!

We at The Moody Church recognize that our spiritual journey is done as a community and involves every stage of life. There’s something for everyone here.
We recommend that you take the next steps to get involved by joining a Sunday Community. Before and after the morning service, there are a number of Communities meeting in the Christian Life Center for all walks of life.
Another deeper, more personal way to get involved is to find a Small Group around Chicago where people meet weekly to socialize and read God’s Word.
Or, if you’d like to take a topical Class, these can be great ways to deepen your faith and meet others.
Stop by the Connection Corner in the main lobby for more information, or check out the ministries and communities of the church by clicking on the Ministries tab in the navigation bar.
Questions About Church Life
Our normal practice is to serve communion on the first Sunday of each month. We welcome all who profess the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior to receive communion—you do not need to be a member of The Moody Church to participate.
In order to include as many people as possible in the communion ordinance, we serve gluten-free matzo (free of most allergens) and 100% grape juice. A certified allergen-free option is also available. Detailed information about the elements can be downloaded here.
Every Sunday morning, Prayer Partners are available at the front of the sanctuary after the service to assist you with spiritual needs or to help you get connected with church groups and ministries. Prayer partners are also available after our Sunday Evening Gathering, and of course during our Wednesday Prayer Gathering.
The offering is intended for our members and regular attenders. As our guest, you are under no obligation to give to the church, so feel free to let the basket pass by. However, we would love to have you fill out one of the Connection Cards located in the seat racks; simply place the completed card in the offering basket.
The Media Center, which is open for thirty minutes following the morning service, carries Pastor Lutzer’s books and sermons as well as CDs of the morning message. The Media Center also stocks a small assortment of ESV Bibles that are available for purchase. If you have questions about any Moody Church media materials or publications, please ask.
If you’re coming to The Moody Church for the first time, we would love to have you join us after the morning service for a special reception. We welcome the opportunity to help you get to know our church family and to see why people decide to make The Moody Church their home. Come and join us in the Visitors Center—we have a gift waiting for you!
Each Sunday we offer a short tour of the Sanctuary. Please meet us in the Visitors Center following the service.
For group tours occurring on Monday through Friday, please call the church office at 312.327.8600.
Baptism is God’s will for every believer, and we rejoice whenever someone chooses to take that step of obedience here at The Moody Church. We schedule baptism services approximately once each quarter; three of them are included as part of the Sunday morning worship service, and our summer baptism is held in Lake Michigan.
In order to be baptized at The Moody Church, one must be a regular attendee (membership is not required) and be able to demonstrate both a relationship with Christ and an understanding of the purposes of the baptism ordinance. In order to ensure that this is the case, we offer a Baptism Preparation Class, which is required for all who wish to be baptized. There is no cost for the class, and no pre-registration is necessary.
