Prayer at The Moody Church

Nothing of enduring spiritual value happens without prayer. The whole of the Christian life is by grace through faith, which are good gifts from our Father in Heaven. It’s essential that we ask, seek, and knock, as Jesus taught us: “For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened,” for our Father in Heaven loves to “give good things to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:8, 11). We desire that prayerfulness be deeply engrained into the life of our church.

When you read the book of Acts, you find the early church gathering together for fellowship and ministry. In the face of persecution, sickness, and personal need, they knew that meeting together for mutual support, prayer, and worship would help them stay strong in the Lord.

Today, it’s more important than ever that we continue to pray together. Whether its through our Sunday worship service, our weekly prayer meeting, our monthly Leadership Council and Deaconesses meetings, our quarterly Day of Prayer and Fasting, or our special prayer events, we encourage you to join us in prayer.

Sunday Morning Service

Our Sunday worship service is designed around prayer. We believe that everything we do in and through our worship service is an ongoing conversation with God. That’s why our service is intentionally structured as a time of prayerful connection with God as we hear from His Word and respond in prayerful worship of Him.

Missions Confidential

Did you know that many of our missionaries and global partners live in secure areas where communication can be risky? That some of our missionaries can’t be shown on live stream or camera for their own safety? For those working in “closed countries,” each day is a creative challenge.

At Missions Confidential, you’ll get to hear some of these stories of how God is working in the hardest places. Our friends with Call of Hope have been working in closed countries for decades and are seeing much fruit! Be encouraged and spurred on to pray. Registration is free, and light refreshments will be provided.
