Our church is filled with people from over 70 countries whose lives have been transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. In fact, we’ve been celebrating the joy of changed lives since 1864. What makes us unique?
In today’s digital age, great content from the world’s best speakers and production music is available at everyone’s fingertips. While we have world-class preaching and quality music every Sunday, what you can’t find online is authentic relationships with other people.
One of the unique aspects of our church is our Communities (adult Sunday schools) and small group emphasis. We believe that people thrive in their spiritual journey when they are able to walk side by side with others. So we encourage you to visit one of our communities, meet some new people, and engage in life with them.

Larry McCarthy, Jr.
Larry McCarthy serves as the Pastor of Senior Adults and Compassion Ministries at The Moody Church. He oversees a variety of ministries that seek to make Christ known to those who are often forgotten. Larry also leads the In Focus Community. Sean and his wife, Cristina began attending The Moody Church in 2019 after moving to Chicago.
