WELCOME

Not only should we be thinking about how we present ourselves, how we speak, how we teach people, but we should also be thinking very seriously about our welcome. Because our welcome speaks volumes.

If you really fulfill the royal law according to Scripture — you shall love your neighbor as yourself — you are doing well. But if you show favoritism, you are committing sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

This is something we don’t think about: the way you welcome one person and not another is an indicator of where you are with God. When you show partiality in welcoming, it’s an indicator of your spiritual state.
