Dear Moody Church Family,
I hope you had a wonderful summer! We are so encouraged by the attendance at our Summer Seminars in July and August, where new relationships were formed, and everyone grew in their understanding of the Gospel. The seminars were a great lead-in for our fall ministry launch. As followers of Jesus, we want to not only know the Gospel but also to “do” the Gospel (James 2:26).
Last fall we introduced what it means to follow Jesus on The Journey of a Lifetime. Praise God, we’re seeing incredible response in our church family taking their next steps along that journey into worship, community, service, and mission.
This fall we’ll focus on the third step of the journey—grow in love through service. Jesus is our supreme example of service as He gave Himself away for others. And Jesus is inviting us to grow in love as we too give ourselves away for others.
We have all been given time, talent, and treasure to steward for God’s kingdom. We often think of stewardship as only a financial responsibility to tithe, but Jesus also calls us to use our time and talent to impact the lives of others. How will you obey Jesus’ call to serve others?

Finally, we want to say “Thank You” for your faithful giving to The Moody Church. As you know, we begin this fiscal year facing higher costs than in years past. We pray the Lord will move in the hearts of His people to supply all that is needed for the work He has called us to this season. Thank you for joining us in praying, giving, and serving!
