Eight scriptural prayers for our President:

Lord, grant our President wisdom and knowledge.

Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great? (2 Chronicles 1:10)

Lord, protect the lives of our President and his family.

Pray for the life of the king and his sons. (Ezra 6:10)

Lord, enable our President to lead with righteousness.

He is God’s servant for your good… an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. (Romans 13:4)

Lord, empower our President to act with justice.

You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor. (Leviticus 19:15)

Lord, equip our President to strengthen the nation’s welfare.

But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. (Jeremiah 29:7)

Lord, may our President protect our freedom to follow Jesus.

I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made… for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. (1 Timothy 2:1–2)

Lord, draw our President close to yourself.

I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made… for kings and all who are in high positions…. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1–4)

Lord, may your will be done through our President.

The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will. (Proverbs 21:1)

You are loved, more than you know!
