People sometimes ask me what I love most about being a pastor. I think my answer sometimes catches them by surprise: “Worship.” My favorite thing is to hear God’s people worshipping together. I think people expect me to say “preaching” or something along those lines. Please don’t get me wrong, I love preaching God’s Word to God’s people. But my favorite moments seem to always come in worship.

There’s something about God’s people, gathering together from all walks of life, raising their voices together in worship of our great Savior and Lord that gives me goosebumps. It’s deeply moving to my soul. It is an immense privilege to join my voice with hundreds of others singing praises to our God who has and is bringing beauty from the brokenness of our lives. To be lost in wonder, awe, and praise—this is rich beyond words. In these moments, I feel like we get a taste of Heaven, and it is precious.

I bring this up because I love to hear you sing. I love our times of worship through singing. I love our worship team, our musicians, and our choir. I love how we come together to lift our voices to the One who is worthy of our every breath.

I look forward to worshipping with you this morning. Let’s sing out, because our God is worthy!

You are loved, more than you know!
