Times are hard. Inflation is rising. Budgets are stretched.

I want to remind you of the good work our Fellowship Committee is doing to come alongside those in our church family who could use a little help. Pastor Larry McCarthy shared these thoughts with me, and I wanted to pass them along to you:

The Fellowship Fund is possible because of the faithful giving of people who attend The Moody Church. The Fund helps us meet needs created by financial emergencies, providing essentials such as food, rent payments, prescription medications, utility bills, and emergency car repairs, dental care, and housing. In January 2022 we gave over $33,000 in emergency financial assistance, and in February 2022 nearly $11,000. Frequently Fellowship Fund recipients are literally brought to tears by God’s provision through the generosity of The Moody Church.

The Lord also continues to bless with the Kadima Advocate Ministry. Contemporary life is complicated, and often people are paralyzed simply by the sheer number of problems they face. There are just too many issues to face alone. This is where Kadima advocates step in. They help develop workable action plans and assist with their implementation and completion. Kadima Advocates have received specialized training on ways to assist Fellowship Fund recipients to stabilize their situations and assist them on their paths to recovery.

We count it an honor and a privilege to come alongside members of our church in times of need or crisis. If you’re facing such a situation, I invite you to reach out to me by email at info@moodychurch.org or by calling the church office at 312.327.8600.

Remember, you are loved, more than you know!
