This Sunday we begin the second part of our study through the Gospel of Luke, which we’ve subtitled, “Hope Breaks Through.” Hope is powerful. When you know the sun will rise, you can get through the night. We can endure the darkness, knowing the dawn is about to break through.
The light of redemption is breaking through the cracks in the walls of this world. The darkness is beginning to tremble. The shadow is rolling back. The sun of righteousness is rising with healing in its wings. The Redeemer has come. Nestled in a manger in Bethlehem, God incarnate has quietly slipped in. Salvation has found root. And the world will never be the same.
Jesus’ coming is the turning of the tide. The kingdom is at hand. Salvation has dawned. Hope is breaking through.
Let’s join Dr. Luke as he documents for us the earliest days of Jesus and the beginning of His ministry among us. The Son of God is being reveled. The world will be forever changed!
