Dear Moody Church Family Member,
But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave. . .even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:26–28).
Jesus teaches that those who aspire to greatness must become servants. Philippians 2 shows us why: because Jesus humbled Himself, God exalted Him. Jesus models what He commands! If we want to be great, we need to be more like Jesus. He didn’t need to serve; He chose to serve.
We estimate that our church volunteers over 56,000 hours of our time each year to make the ministry of The Moody Church happen. That is almost 30 full-time jobs! Thank you to all who serve so faithfully.
As you explore your next steps along The Journey of a Lifetime, we encourage you to join us as we grow in love through service together. I know you will be blessed by serving. The primary way I became connected at The Moody Church was when I began serving together with people I hadn’t previously known.
Visit here to explore the many serving opportunities at our church that will bless others and satisfy your soul. You can also find ways to serve in your TMC Community. If you’d like to find a list of trusted partners where you can serve outside the church, you can find them here. The more we serve alongside one another, the more our hearts are shaped to look like His.
Finally, we want to say, “Thank you” for your faithful giving to The Moody Church. We pray the Lord will move in the hearts of His people to supply all that is needed for the work He has called us to at this time. Thank you for joining us in praying, giving, and serving!
Together
