In every story there are defining moments that change everything. Today, we come to the pivotal moment in the book of Esther. Queen Esther has called for a fast that the people of God might seek His face on her behalf. She’s preparing to do the impossible. Entering the king’s presence is forbidden on pain of death unless he extends his royal scepter in pardon. She’s about to risk it all to save her people. As she said, “I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16).

We’re going to see Esther in all of the wonder of her courage and bravery. We’re also going to see her wisdom. Sometimes the Bible gives us wisdom in principles called proverbs. Other times, the Bible gives us wisdom in action. We see it in the lives of those who are living by faith as they display wisdom right before our eyes. Today, we’ll see God’s wisdom in action in Esther’s life through her preparation, planning, patience, and poise.

We all need wisdom to navigate the complexities of this broken world. May God help us to see His wisdom and follow Him with courage as we live for His glory. For we are loved, more than we know!

So let’s run with endurance. Jesus beckons us onward. Our supporters are near. And we are loved, more than we know!
