Hello, Parents!

We had a great rehearsal on Sunday and absolutely 0 pizza snafus! Thanks so much for incorporating Children’s Chorus into your Sunday for the past two weeks. I also want to say a huge thank you to Jocelyn Carter who is a choreographer extraordinaire and has been doing a fantastic job of teaching the kids this year. Thank you, Jocelyn!

The Choreography videos from the 24th are loaded and ready for learning if you missed that rehearsal. There are also practice videos which will be so helpful as we keep learning the movements. We will upload the rest of the videos in the next week or so. You can find all the videos on the Christmas musical webpage, the password is sing.

I wanted to give you an advanced warning that the choir will be singing in the morning service on November 21. Our performance standards are on the parent page, but it’s been a while since we’ve had a performance so here are a few reminders:

  • Dress code is white on top and black on bottom including dark socks and shoes. It can be chilly in the sanctuary so wearing layers or long-sleeves is usually a great idea. ? Please try to make sure the shirt is a plain white shirt without any graphics or words on it. A small icon for something like the brand is totally fine. If you have questions, you can feel free to send me a picture.
  • Arrival is 8:30am in Christiansen. We will warm up, have rehearsal, take a restroom break, and then sing for the first part of the morning service. The kids will be with us from 8:30 until after they sing. When they finish singing, they will be dismissed to Kappeler for a light snack. Parents, you can exit when the kids do or shortly after to pick up your child(ren).
  • Our songs for the 21st are linked on our listening links button. You can feel free to listen at home to help your child(ren) prepare. Many of the songs might be familiar from our Sunday services.

We’re looking forward to another great rehearsal on Wednesday at 5:30. See you there!

Elsa
