Holy Week is special. Over the years, our family has found it meaningful to journey each day with Jesus through this week that changed history. The tradition actually goes back to my parents who outlined readings for each day from the four biographies of Jesus in the New Testament. If you’d like to read along this week, here they are:
Anointing of Jesus // Saturday before Palm Sunday – John 11:55–12:11
Triumphal Entry // Palm Sunday – John 12:12–19
Cleansing the Temple // Monday – Mark 11:15–19
Hard Questions // Tuesday – Mark 11:27–12:34
Plot to Kill Jesus // Wednesday – Matthew 26:14–16
Last Supper & Arrest // Thursday – Luke 22:7–27, 39–54
Trial & Crucifixion // Friday – Luke 23:1–56
Sealing the Tomb // Saturday – Matthew 27:62–66
Resurrection // Easter Sunday – Luke 24:1-12, 36–43
May we reflect this week on the wonder and weight of what Christ has done to save us all. Holy Week is proof that, in Jesus, we are loved, more than we know!
