Dear Moody Church Family Member,
In the Great Commission, recorded in Matthew 28, Jesus commanded the Church to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Today, our Global Outreach Ministry financially supports 57 active and retired missionaries (singles and families) in dozens of countries across the globe. We also support eight Hope for Kids partners, who bring hope and healing to thousands of children both here in Chicago and around the world. In addition, through our Key Global Initiatives (KGI) strategy, we look for opportunities to partner with indigenous believers to strengthen the local church and plant new churches. We currently have eight such KGI partnerships. All of this is overseen by our Global Outreach Committee.
In addition to the money allocated for missionary support from the General Fund, 10% of all estate giving is allocated toward Missions Projects. These funds have been used to train church leaders in Turkey, Iran, and Eastern Europe, plant new churches in Ireland and Brazil, provide physical relief and eternal hope to refugees in Europe, America, and Asia, and many more Kingdom initiatives! The Lord is using the resources we offer back to Him to make His name known among the nations.
Annual giving to all of our Global Outreach partners exceeds $1 million. Your faithful stewardship is having an incredible impact by enabling believers called to serve the Kingdom in a full-time capacity to use their gifts to equip the Church. Thank you for your faithfulness as together we obey and celebrate the Great Commission.
