What a Missions Week we’ve been having! I don’t know about you, but I’m so encouraged by the stories I’ve been hearing of the ways God is at work around our world. God truly is on a mission to glorify His name by redeeming a people for Himself from every nation, tribe, language, and tongue who will come alive in joyous relationship with Him through the redemption of His beloved Son by the power of His Spirit. God’s heart beats for the nations! I hope you’re catching a glimpse of the marvelous Gospel work that is happening not just here in Chicago, but all across the globe. God is on the move!
To cap off our Missions Week, we have the honor of hearing Dr. Ed Stetzer preach this Sunday on “Our Mission in this Moment” from John 20:21. Many of you will remember that Ed was our interim teaching pastor from 2016–2020, and it will be a joy to welcome him back to The Moody Church family this weekend. Ed is an author, pastor, and missiologist who teaches at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. He is the Regional Director for Lausanne North America, and editor-in-chief of Outreach Magazine. When you see Ed on Sunday, please give him a warm welcome. Let’s remind him that he is loved, more than he knows!
