July 2023 Stewardship Letter

I hope you are enjoying your summer! As our church approaches the end of the fiscal year in August, I want to say thank you and highlight some examples of the impact of your generosity.

Our church has much to be thankful for. God has allowed us to generously support three campaigns this year as we change the world through mission:

1. In November, we provided over 1,000 shoeboxes to kids in need around the world with Operation Christmas Child.
2. In December, we gave $300,000 to three ministry partners doing incredible work in Chicago and Brazil planting churches, feeding the poor, and meeting the needs of children.
3. In June, the Redemption Project provided over $110,000 in contributions for our partner in Cambodia, World Relief.

Alongside these special financial offerings, there are amazing things happening weekly through our more regular ministries. TMC Kids and Student Ministries are growing rapidly, many small groups, communities, and equipping classes meet in church spaces, and we welcome new people to Sunday services and activities each time the doors open. All of this is made possible thanks to your faithful giving and commitment to serving alongside one another.

As the end of the fiscal year approaches, the church faces both a challenge and an opportunity. Current giving does not match the resources needed to maintain all our current ministries. Fewer resources may mean scaling back ministry plans next year at a time when our city and our world desperately need to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. Would you prayerfully consider a special fiscal year-end gift?

The Bible tells us giving is an act of worship—a joyful response to God’s immeasurable grace and love.
