Dear Moody Church Family,

“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1b-2).

The joy that was set before Jesus was His return to the Father’s right hand—and our return with Him. He endured the horrors of the cross because of the surpassing value of the prize, our redemption. Likewise, the prize that awaits those who endure will be infinitely greater than any “price” we are asked to pay. If your endurance is faltering, I encourage you to read Revelation 21-22. Let us endure the challenges of this life by looking to the joy that awaits us at Christ’s return. His death and resurrection have conquered sin and death and hell. Hallelujah, what a Savior!

During Holy Week, The Moody Church is planning a week full of reflection, thanksgiving, and worship along the theme of “He Is Risen”. We look forward to seeing you—and please invite your friends—for our Holy Week events. Check out the full list of events at www.moodychurch.org/holy-week.

Your faithful giving enables The Moody Church to offer these worship and outreach opportunities. Thank you for your partnership in bringing glory to the name of Jesus and the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Together,

Bill Van Tuinen

Pastor of Global Outreach and Stewardship
