I’m still enjoying the afterglow of a wonderful Easter Sunday as we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I want to thank each one of you who volunteered to serve and help us welcome so many guests to The Moody Church last week. Your generous hearts opened the door for many to hear the Good News of Jesus. I’m grateful for our team here at the church who went above and beyond with preparations so that everything went smoothly. Special thanks to our choir, orchestra, and vocalists for leading us in the triumphs of the morning. Pastor Tim Stafford, Jordyn Fraats, and Paul Satre really outdid themselves yet again. I’m grateful for all that God is doing through us to lift high the name of Jesus!
Well, we’re back in the book of Acts this Sunday. The apostle Paul is continuing his travels on his third missionary journey, bringing the Good News of Jesus throughout the Greco-Roman world. Today, we find him in Ephesus, where a riot breaks out because of the cultural influence the Gospel is having. So many people are turning to Jesus that it’s shifting the entire economy of Ephesus and disrupting attendance at the temple of Artemis. We get a glimpse of the power of the Gospel and how it brings transformation into every dimension of our lives and society.
Our broken world needs more of Jesus, not less. How can we be a part of bringing Gospel transformation to our city, nation, and world? Let’s lean in together and discover how the Gospel transforms our lives and our culture. For we are loved, more than we know!
