We believe that we are made by God and for God. In every person there exists a longing for the divine that can only be filled by a real relationship with God.  Life, at its best, is experienced when we align ourselves under God’s authority. Only then can we experience the greatest joys and the most abundant life imaginable. We at The Moody Church want to introduce you to this radical, awesome life at its fullest; we want to introduce you to Jesus. He’s the one you’re looking for. When you have a relationship with him, you won’t know how you ever got along without him.

God Created You and Loves You

God is the author and origin of everything that exists. He created people to be in relationship with Him; that’s why in every human being there exists a longing for the divine, because all people were created in His image for the purpose of knowing and enjoying Him.  God loves all people, and desires that you have an unbroken relationship with Him.
(Genesis 1-2, John 3:16Ephesians 2:4-5)

You are a Sinner

At their core, everyone knows that there is something wrong with their lives and this world; it’s the brokenness caused by sin. All people are “sinners” in that they disobey God, choosing to go their own way and do their own thing as opposed to being obedient to God.

(Genesis 3; Isaiah 53:6Romans 3:10)

Sin Separates You from God

Because God is holy and perfect, sin forms a barrier that prevents you from entering into unbroken relationship with God. As an unholy sinner, you can’t have a relationship with God, and you are headed for an eternity apart from God that the Bible calls Hell.  The penalty for sin is spiritual death, eternal separation from God.
(Isaiah 59:2Romans 3:23)

You Can’t Save Yourself

People often think that through their efforts they can overcome the sin barrier between themselves and God. They think that good deeds, rituals, or spiritual experiences will bring them into a right alignment with God. That isn’t true. There’s nothing you can do to restore the broken relationship with God. You can’t earn God’s salvation.
(Ephesians 2:8-9Titus 3:5Romans 4:4-5)

God Sent His Son Jesus to Remove the Sin Barrier

But there’s great hope: what you cannot do for yourself, Jesus Christ has done for you! The Good News is that Jesus died on the cross for you and then rose from the dead to demonstrate that His sacrafice was acceptable to God. By taking your punishment on Himself, Jesus made a relationship with God possible. He eliminated the barrier between God and man.
(1 Peter 2:23Romans 5:82 Corinthians 5:21Romans 10:9)

You Can Receive Jesus Christ through Faith

The Bible teaches that salvation is through faith alone, and not by good deeds. Salvation through faith involves three things. Faith is trusting in what Jesus has done for you rather than trusting your own efforts to restore a relationship with God. Faith involves repentance from sin and a desire to turn away from sin. Faith is allowing the life of Christ to live in you and transform you.

(John 14:6Acts 16:31Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)

Through Prayer You Can Trust in Jesus Christ

If you’d like to experience the Good News of the gospel for yourself, take a moment to accept Jesus into your life. The Bible tells us that confession of sin and faith in Christ are our path to salvation.  Admit to God that you are a sinner and repent of your sins. Then ask Him to forgive your sins, and invite Jesus into your life. Commit yourself to live for Him.
