July 12, 19, 26 Seminars: 9:00am and 11:30am
9:00
Essential Doctrines 1
Clarkview | Stephen Farish
In the Essential Doctrines class, we will be examining the teaching of Scripture concerning those doctrines which distinguish Christianity as “the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). Our prayer is that God in his grace through this seminar will open the “eyes of our hearts” to the display of his spiritual beauty and worth in the Bible (Psalm 27:4; Ephesians 1:18), in such a way that we his people would experience life-transforming delight through our apprehension of God’s stunning glory (Psalm 16:11). The topics we will cover this year, Lord willing, include the following:
- July 12: The Doctrine of the Trinity
- July 19: Guest Teacher: Steve Giere
- July 26: The Doctrine of the Order of Salvation: Regeneration
Conversational Apologetics 1
Room 304 | Karl Johnson
Do you ever worry you’re not equipped to share your faith with others? In the Conversational Apologetics class, we will be combining knowledge and hands-on practice in the art of conversational apologetics and evangelism.
Dealing with Foolish People
Room 303 | Mary Lowman
The Bible has a great deal to say about fools and foolish behavior. It helps us recognize foolish people, understand how they think and act, and even reminds us that some fools will never change. In this study, we’ll explore what Scripture teaches about foolishness—and consider how God calls us to respond when we encounter foolish behavior in others.
As we look closely at God’s Word, the Holy Spirit can illuminate our hearts and minds, giving us wisdom and guidance for dealing with foolish people in a way that honors Him.
July 12: Who is a fool and what is foolish behavior? What did Jesus teach us about fools? What are typical worldly illustrations of foolish people? In Session 1 we’ll establish a basic understanding of fools and how their foolish behavior impacts the people in their lives. Importantly, we’ll seek a clear grasp of how to respond to them as Jesus would.
July 19: Proverbs 1:7 tells us that “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” We’ll delve into the wisdom literature of the Bible to better discern the “wisdom and instruction” we need, as Christ-followers, when we recognize foolish people affecting our lives. Further, what about the fools who are in our lives on a regular, even daily basis? How can we keep their foolishness from having a negative impact on our lives?
July 26: The Bible gives us specific categories of foolish people, including the simple and the mocker, and the causes of their behavior. Also, how we can easily become entangled in their behavior, often making matters worse. When is it time to separate ourselves from fools and how can we do that? Can Christians be fools, and how do we respond to foolish behavior in Christians? We’ll conclude with clear and important biblical principles for responding to fools, with a reminder that there is always hope for transformation in Jesus.
The Story of Christianity: Why Church History Matters Today
Room 307 | Rob Marcello
This class will journey through the rise of Christianity tracing the development of theology, heresies, and interpretation. We will explore how ancient believers still impact how we think and live today.

Beyond Artificial: Raising Image-Bearers in a Tech World
Room 308 | Jillian & Jonathon Huff
Navigating our tech-saturated world can feel overwhelming, especially when we’re called to lead the next generation through it. Join us as we explore biblical answers and practical wisdom for the challenges our families face. Bring your questions and join the conversation.

Three Challenging Questions About Your Salvation
Room 307 | Pastor Mark Pirrie
A Three-Week Summer Seminar on the Doctrines of Grace
Here’s what we’ll be exploring
- August 2: “Did Jesus make salvation possible — or did He actually save you?”
- August 9: “Did you choose God — or did God choose you first?”
- August 16: “What if God is more committed to you than you are to Him?
These are some of the most important — and most debated — questions in the history of the church. Our goal is not to stir up controversy but to help you think more clearly and deeply about how God saves. We want to move beyond surface-level faith into a more grounded, biblical confidence in what God has done, how He draws us to Himself, and how He holds us secure.
No prior knowledge required — just an open Bible and a willingness to wrestle with some big questions. I hope you’ll join us!
