It is Missions Week here at The Moody Church. We gather to celebrate the mission of God in bringing the Good News of Jesus to the ends of the earth. Our heartbeat as the people of God is that all peoples everywhere might worship Him forever. Today we celebrate the progress of the gospel throughout the nations!

As you know, a little over a week ago, Krista and I traveled to England and Poland to be a part of the European Leadership Forum, which is a coalition of evangelical Christian leaders seeking to renew the biblical Church and evangelize Europe. The Forum has been a key partner in our Global Outreach efforts here at The Moody Church over the years, and it was a real blessing to see things up close and in person. We met hundreds of Christian leaders who are making meaningful impact in their churches, businesses, universities, and cultural institutions. Much of Europe has become very secular, but these leaders are cultivating a powerful remnant bearing witness to the way of Jesus. They are the salt of the earth and the light of the world! When we met with several of our Eastern European ministry partners, we were greatly encouraged by their ministry faithfulness and fruitfulness. Despite the significant obstacles they face, the Church in Europe is advancing and the gospel is bearing fruit.

This week we all get a chance to have a front row seat to the work of the gospel here in our city and all around the world. May I encourage you to take time this week to learn more about the mission of God and the efforts of our partners to bring the Good News of Jesus to all people everywhere? God is on the move. And the wonder of it all is that He chooses to use us to accomplish His mission!

Because we are loved, more than we know!

  1. If you guys could just pray for my friend. For the holy spirit to allow me to listen and view my friend and his wife in a way that is loving and glorifying to Jesus. I ask for the strength to humbly see what their heart needs instead of just telling them right away. I ask if you could lift up my friend Nick and his wife Jessica where I will view them in a loving manner and bless me with the opportunity to open the Gospel to them not in pride or fear but in love. I ask for the ability to listen, serve and seek them out in love not to cover up my light but for both of them to come back to church next week and understand the love of who Jesus really is.

  2. There was a spoken word by a man and a woman citing in every book of the Bible “Who is Jesus or perhaps it was entitled Who God. I was listen to the broadcast on my way to the airport to leave for Dallas, TX so did not write it down. Can you help me get a copy of that spoken word?
