I have some encouraging news to share!

For the last two years, The Moody Church has participated in the Best Christian Workplaces Institute’s engagement survey, which helps Christian churches and non-profits understand their organization’s health and employee engagement in order to identify blind spots and build a flourishing workplace culture. Because we believe healthy ministry flows from a healthy team, we’ve been grateful for their help. Last year was our first time participating in the survey, and the results we received clarified our key strengths and underlined some significant areas needing improvement. Our Elders and senior staff took the results to heart and got down to work. We endeavored to become better listeners and more intentional in cultivating our staff culture.

Just a few days ago, we received the results of our second engagement survey and learned that The Moody Church had such healthy results from our employee feedback that we’d been certified as one of the Best Christian Workplaces for 2022. I can’t tell you how delighted I am to see such marked improvement in such a short period of time. It’s a testimony to the accumulative effects of a lot of team building that has occurred throughout the year and at every level of our organization. As a church leadership, we’re so grateful for the ways God is growing us as a church, not just in the ministry we’re doing, but in the team we’re becoming. Serving Jesus is truly a team effort.

I thought you’d enjoy hearing the good news. Let’s give God the glory.

Because we are loved, more than we know!

  1. This comment is on a different subject. I wish that the mental health classes could be videotaped and put on your Youtube channel. The subjects being taught are of vital interest to me. I live 2 hours south of Chicago and there is no way that I could travel to attend these in person. And I know many of your online church family are in the same boat. I know it would be an extra expense, but would you please consider this as an ongoing part of your ministry? I would so much appreciate it.
I am very very thankful for the ministry of Moody Church in my life. On Sunday morning I attend my own church service online, at 10am I switch over to your service. I wouldn’t miss it for the world. The ministry of Philip Miller has been a great blessing to my life. Let’s give God the glory that He brought Philip Miller and his family to Moody Church!
