About once a month, I have the joy of sitting down with folks who are joining the church as new members. I like to hear their stories. I ask about their families, how they met Jesus, and what brought them to The Moody Church. When it comes to that last question, I’ve discovered that nearly half indicate their first in-person contact was around Christmas or Easter. It turns out, for many people, those days are when the doors flew wide open.

So, we have an opportunity. Research tells us that the best times to invite friends and family to church are Easter and Christmas. And what I’m seeing in our New Members class backs that up. As Resurrection Sunday quickly approaches, this is a window of opportunity.

Would you begin praying today for who you’ll invite to Easter? It’s just three weeks away. You might scroll through your last 20 text threads or take a mental walk around your office, neighborhood, or classroom. Who do you know who is far from Jesus but near to you? What would it take to strengthen the relational bridge with them in the coming days? How can you show them the love of Jesus? And how might you make the ask: “Would you join me this Easter?”

Our team is working hard to make this Resurrection Sunday a worshipful celebration of our crucified and risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The music will be excellent. The sermon will be Gospel-saturated. The room will be filled with energy. And we expect to celebrate the joy of changed lives! Because Jesus is alive and bringing life in 2026!

We only get a handful of these Gospel opportunities. Let’s not waste them when they come. You never know what might happen! Who will you invite this Easter?

Remember, dear friends, you are loved, more than you know!
