(select any that apply) Grasping God’s Word: One of our original core classes, taught by Scott Lilly. Grasping God’s Word teaches you to read and study God’s Word with greater clarity and comprehension; to understand Scripture in light of the context in which it was written; to see how Scripture was given to change the way we think, feel, and act; and to apply God’s unchanging Word to our lives and our changing world. God’s Mission for the Church (NEW CLASS): Scripture is filled with statements about God’s mission. He wants the good news of the gospel to go forth “into all the earth.” But how do we participate in that mission? That’s not just the duty of overseas missionaries—it’s for each member of the Body. This new course, taught by Pastor Kirk Baker, will look at the mission of God, our role and participation in it, and how we can remain faithful to it even in this difficult season. The Church and Our Place in It (NEW CLASS): We've all heard that “the church isn’t a building, it’s the Body of Christ” … but what exactly is the church? This brand-new course, taught by Scott Lilly, will help us understand what the church is and what is God's purpose for her, both in our lives and in God's plan in human history. We’ll look at the ordinances of the church, and the importance of church government and membership . We’ll also examine our responsibilities and privileges as church members, including the topics of spiritual gifts and serving in the church.Questions / comments Contact Us** This iframe contains the logic required to handle Ajax powered Gravity Forms.
