Dear Moody Church Family,

Many of you know The Moody Church began as a Sunday school for street children who weren’t welcome in the local churches, or anywhere else. Today, ministry to children continues to be one of our core missions. What a blessing to be able to love and care for children in His name for nearly 160 years!
Week after week, hundreds of children walk through our doors looking for a safe place to learn, grow, and be loved. That only happens because of volunteers like you. This is an opportunity for everyone— young and old, men and women, parents, singles, and couples—to make an impact in the lives of the next generation. It’s also a fantastic way to get to know your church family! I’d like to share a couple ways you can make an eternal investment through service to our kids.
TMC Kids is looking forward to our annual Summer Blast outreach from July 27–30. This is one of our church’s largest and most energetic events as we welcome hundreds of children to learn about Jesus and His love for them. Many volunteers are needed to serve these children and share the life-changing message of the Gospel. We are looking to build a team of about 150 people! There are opportunities for everyone to serve in roles that fit their gifting and expertise.
TMC Kids also needs team members for our Sunday morning ministry. When you invest your time with TMC Kids, you influence young lives for Christ—and your life will change, too! Volunteers serve once a month during our Sunday morning ministries. And, we’re already looking ahead to September, when our Wednesday night Awana club begins, and we’ll need a full team of volunteers to serve weekly. Each year, there are kids who cannot attend Awana because we don’t have enough volunteers to handle them. One additional volunteer often means 3–5 more children can attend!
