Dear Moody Church Family,
As we look back on Resurrection Sunday, I am grateful for the wonderful worship service our team puts together each year. The music, the preaching, and the full sanctuary combine to create an overwhelming sense of the Lord’s presence. It is a highlight of the season and a powerful reminder that our King is alive, reigns, and is actively at work in the world today.
Each Spring, through our Redemption Project, we partner with a trusted ministry that shares the Gospel with their community —both body and soul. Past projects have included church planting and evangelism in Albania (Hands of Providence), providing relief to refugees in Lebanon (Call of Hope), and a church training center in Turkey (CPDE). This year, our recipient is Hope Mobility.
Founded by Michael Panther, a former Moody Church attender, Hope Mobility was born from the Lord’s provision in Michael’s own life. Inspired by this incredible blessing, Michael created Hope Mobility to respond to both the physical and spiritual needs of people with disabilities in Africa. In many communities, those with disabilities are cast aside as cursed by God. Mobility can restore dignity and humanity to these precious individuals, who also hear the Gospel and discover they are image-bearers of a perfect God who loves them. Hope Mobility also offers pastors’ conferences that equip church leaders to create cultures of love and acceptance toward those with disabilities— prioritizing community and service over seeking miraculous healing.
