Throughout the book of Acts, we’ve seen how the apostle Paul reasoned with the Jews from the Scriptures and engaged philosophically with the Greeks to reveal the “unknown God.” In every context, Paul spoke the truth with courageous conviction and compelling clarity. In our cultural moment, we are called to do the same.

This weekend, we have the honor of welcoming Stefan Gustavsson, who has been a dear friend of our church for many years. He serves as the Director of the Apologia Centre for Christian Apologetics, and helps lead the European Leadership Forum, one of our key ministry partners in Europe. Based in Sweden, Stefan is deeply involved in teaching and training believers in evangelism and has authored several books on the Christian faith. He is full of compassion and conviction.

On Saturday morning, Stefan will equip us to communicate the Gospel with clarity and confidence in a culture that is increasingly pluralistic and skeptical. Stefan will walk us through the biblical foundations of apologetics, help us articulate the historicity of the resurrection, and showcase the unique wonder of Jesus in a world full of rivals.

Today,  Stefan will minister to us through preaching, highlighting how the Gospel does not undermine reason but fulfills it, while challenging cultural assumptions and pride. It is in Christ that we find truth, righteousness, holiness, and freedom. I know you’ll be challenged and encouraged this Sunday!

One final note: Let’s be praying for the underground church in Iran, which has been secretly growing for years. I spoke with an Iranian pastor this week who shared the massive Gospel potential that, even now, is being unleashed through the geopolitical shift underway. Amidst all the turmoil, Jesus is building His church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Please pray for Israel. Pray for the Middle East. And most of all, pray for the Gospel to go forth with power.

Remember, my friends, you are loved, more than you know!
