Dear Moody Church Family,

But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your servant…even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:26, 28).

Jesus teaches that those who aspire to greatness must become servants. In Pastor Philip’s current series in Acts, we are seeing this lived out by the early church. We read that believers devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, prayer, and sharing everything in common. They were generous with their time, talent, and treasure! We have all been given time, talent, and treasure to steward for God’s kingdom. While we often think of stewardship as a financial responsibility, Jesus also calls us to use our time and talent to impact the lives of others.

As you explore your next steps along The Journey of a Lifetime, we encourage you to join us as we grow in love through service together. We also change our world when we serve others with a missional mindset.

Visit here (moodychurch.org/opportunity-finder/) to explore the many serving opportunities at our church that will bless others and satisfy your soul. You can also find ways to serve in your TMC Community. If you’d like to find a list of trusted partners where you can serve outside the church, you can find them here (moodychurch.org/missions/).

Finally, we want to say “Thank You” for your faithful giving to The Moody Church. We pray the Lord will move in the hearts of His people to supply all that is needed for the work He has called us to at this time. Thank you for joining us in praying, giving, and serving.

Together,
Bill Van Tuinen
Pastor of Global Outreach and Stewardship
