About Us

The Precept Bible Study Ministry at The Moody Church offers many learning and discipling opportunities for those who want to know and serve God in a deeper way. We firmly believe what the Bible says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16 NASB).

You do not need to be a member of The Moody Church to attend; all are warmly welcomed. We offer several Bible study classes during the week throughout the year. Not sure whether Precept Bible Studies are for you? Join us to see what we are all about, even though the session might have already started. Our classes are never limited in number or closed.

Fall 2026 Studies

Tuesday Morning Classes for Women

Meets in Room 108 and on Zoom

Led by Linda Gunter

The Tuesday Precepts study will start back up beginning September 15th and regular meetings will continue on Tuesdays from 9:30am–11:30am until November 17th. The group will be studying the book of Luke. There will be a break for the Holidays and then they will finish off Luke Part 1: Who is this Man Who Forgives Sins on January 12th and 19th. After finishing Part 1, they will move on to Luke Part 2: The Savior of Sinners on January 26th until March 7th, 2027.

Saturday Morning Classes for Women

Meets in Room 307 and on Zoom
Led by Enosha Simmons

The Saturday Precepts study will start back up beginning September 19th and regular meetings will continue Saturdays from 10:15am–12:15pm until December 5th. The group will be studying the book of Revelation, Part 3: What is the Sign of His Coming and of the End of the Age? They do not meet on the first Saturday of each month. Also, they will not meet during Thanksgiving weekend on November 28th. After breaking for Christmas holidays, they will finish off Revelation Part 3 on January 9th and 16th. They will move on to Revelation, Part 4: Interpreting Revelation in Light of Biblical Prophecy from January 23rd until May 29th, 2027. You are welcome to join any time during the study.
