Deaf-led ASL Class
Interested in learning American Sign Language? The Moody Church Deaf Ministry is excited to once again offer ASL classes for beginners. Please join us on Saturdays, starting May 27th, for an 8 to 10-week ASL class (ASL 1 9am–10:30am and ASL 2 11:00am–12:30pm) in Room 301. These classes will be immersive and taught by a member of the Deaf community. There will be no spoken English.
Anyone, no matter the level, is welcome to join. The only cost of the class is the purchase of the book, A Basic Course in American Sign Language. So come by yourself, with your family, or with friends and learn a new language.
2022 Deaf Gathering
Deaf Gathering is an opportunity for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to come together for a free night of fun, games, fellowship, and food. We meet every other month. For more information, follow our Facebook page.
2021 Church Interpreter Training
Learning American Sign Language? Signing in church for years? Just started with a song last week? There is something valuable in coming together to share our experiences!
Interpreting Pathways is doing a day of training on Sept 29 at The Moody Church, focused on developing skills for those who are signing and interpreting in Christian settings.
