At The Moody Church, participating in a small group Bible study is one of the best ways to engage in community. In partnering with you, our aim is to create environments where people are encouraged in their home, in their work, and in their walk with Christ by digging into God’s word, praying together and creating deeper relationships within the family of Christ.

Do you have the greatest small group bond in the universe??
Suzanne is a leader of a 5-member mixed small group in the Chatham area, which formed last fall during the “One Minute After You Die” Bible study initiative. They have since completed a Desiring God study by John Piper and are currently studying the book of Romans using the a Romans study guide by Henry Blackaby and his 4 sons.

What are other people saying about small groups?
How have small group Bible studies impacted you?
“I’ve been both a leader and also a participant in small groups. I’ve been in prayer groups, coed groups, accountability/mentoring groups and men’s groups. They all have given me different insights to help me grow closer to Christ, gain community, relationship, etc. We need to step out of our comfort zone if we want to learn from people that have different spiritual and life experiences (work, relationship, marriage, divorce, kids, criminal background, etc).”
Why is it important to have accountability?
“No matter how strong and well equipped a group is with their teaching and theology, when we know a lot about the Word and do not act upon it, it’s no different than if we say that another group or church has watered down theology, as they could actually be living out the Words of Christ, but lack of deeper theological understanding.”
Jonathan Chong, TMC regular attendee & member of SALT community
Have you registered your small group?
We are asking all current leaders who have not already submitted their group information to fill out our quiestionnaire in order that we might update our small group database. Groups with more than one leader should only submit one form. Current leaders can fill out the questionnaire here.
