The Precept Ministry at Moody Church offers many learning and discipling opportunities for those who want to know and serve God in a deeper way. We firmly believe what the Bible says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16 NASB)
You do not need to be a member of Moody Church to attend; all are warmly welcomed. We offer several Bible study classes during the week throughout the year. Browse our About Us tab to glimpse how we study the Bible, as well as our Programs tab for a listing of current and upcoming classes.
The Sunday afternoon women’s class has been a community since 2004, meets in Room 304 at 2:30 p.m. and is led by Virginia Bentley, who also coordinates the ministry. Many who stay all day and attend the morning service, TMC communities, discipleship classes, and the evening service find this a very convenient study time.
The Tuesday morning women’s class meets in Room 108 at 9:30 a.m. and is led by Linda Gunter. They have been a community for over ten years and range from retirees to college students to new moms. Childcare is provided during class time for a nominal weekly fee.
The Thursday evening class, a community for over ten years, enjoys Bible study and fellowship during the week. Classes meet at 7:00 p.m., led by Joseph and Mary Carre. During the class discussion hour, the men meet in Room 305, and the women meet in Room 304, after which they join to watch the video lecture.
Led by Enosha Simmons, the Saturday morning women’s class is a warm, welcoming group who enjoy beginning the day in God’s Word together. Begun in spring of 2010, they meet in Room 304 at10:00 a.m
