Sanctuary Choir Short Season
Do you love to sing?  Have you ever tried singing in a choir?  Perhaps your schedule becomes lighter in the summertime?  Consider joining the choir for our May–June season, ending with the Independence Day concert on June 30. Come, minister through your talents, and feel welcomed into our choir family.

Independence Day Concert

Sunday June 30, 2013 at 3:00 pm

This is a fabulous annual concert, designed for the whole family to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy in this great land, with thrilling marches and classic anthems from our American heritage, along with a special tribute to our veterans. After the concert, the fun continues with free balloons for the kids and ice cream for everyone.

Good Friday Service
Friday, March 29 at 7:00 pm
Dr. Michael Rydelnik, a member of our church and professor of Jewish studies at Moody Bible Institute will explain the Seder – the Jewish Passover Feast – after which we will participate in a communion service with music by the Sanctuary Choir and string ensemble.


Vespers Service – “Voices on the Journey to the Crucifixion”
Sunday March 24 at 6:00pm
A dramatic experience from the Scriptures compiled and written by Dr. Gregory Athnos, and featuring members of the Artist Circle.


Art of the Ancient Persecuted Church”
Sunday, March 17 at 1:00–3:00pm
Our guest speaker was Gregory Athnos, an expert in the Art of the Roman Catacombs. What began as a casual study project became a powerful life commitment because of what he witnessed in those burial chambers of the persecuted Christians in Rome.  www.gregathnos.com

Nano-Concerts

Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm
All are invited to these free, enriching evenings, featuring a wide variety of music performed by members and friends of the church. Concerts are typically held in the church lobby, with light refreshments served afterwards. Fine music, fun fellowship and free food – don’t miss out!

In 2012, on December 2, we enjoyed a reminiscent hour of Christmas with our Handbell Ensemble and Ralph Colburn at the organ, long-time organist in the Moody Radio studios and for the radio drama “Unshackled.” On October 28, we welcomed concert pianist Esther Shin, who shared about her 3-month summer ministry adventure in 12 countries of Asia, Africa and Europe, and on October 7, we featured Burt Kettinger and Ruth Newman in a marvelous program entitled “Sounds of Hope in Jesus Christ.”
