Join YMYF at Church

We are excited to announce that YMYF is participating in the church’s Phase 2 reopening. It’s a blessing but also a heavy responsibility to do things well, following all the church and city guidelines for groups. We want to do everything we can to keep everyone safe and healthy while being able to meet in person.

 

We will be meeting in Rooms 107 and 108, and everyone must be pre-registered to attend. We will be practicing six-foot social distancing at all times, and masks will be required for everyone over age 2. Obviously we ask you to be safe and to not come if you’re sick — anyone who shows signs of illness will not be allowed into the building. Along with that, if you’re in a high-risk category, please carefully consider whether you should attend.

 

We also need to abide by the city’s Emergency Travel Order, which requires a 14-day self-quarantine for those returning to the city from a COVID-19 hot spot. Anyone who has been in one of the listed states won’t be able to enter the church building until that 14-day quarantine has passed. The list of affected states (updated every Tuesday) is here.

 

We will take registrations two weeks at a time. The deadline is 11am Friday for that Sunday (so sign up by Friday 1/15 to come Sunday 1/17). Read over the guidelines and sign up below!

 


GUIDELINES

  • Please be safe and don’t come if you’re sick.
  • Only those who are preregistered will be allowed into the building.
  • Everyone must always adhere to the six-foot social distancing guideline, and masks must be worn at all times. No one will be allowed into the building without a mask.
  • Children are welcome, but there will be no childcare, and your children must stay with you in Rooms 107/108 at all times.
  • Parking will be in the West Lot and Piper’s Alley.
  • We’ll enter at 1635 N LaSalle starting at 9:40am. There will be tape marking six-foot separations at the entrance; if a line forms, please be sure not to block the BP or Shell driveways.
  • The common areas, including the kitchens, will be closed. There will be no shared food or drink, and the water fountains will be turned off.
  • The restrooms will be available as needed, and only three people should be in the bathroom at one time. Parents must accompany their children to the restrooms.
  • When the service ends we’ll need to exit promptly via the Clark Street exit, while maintaining our social distancing.

REGISTRATION

  • Anyone entering or returning to Chicago from states experiencing a surge in new Covid-19 cases is required to quarantine for 14 days and will not be able to enter our building. The list of states can be found at www.chicago.gov/city/en/sites/covid-19/home/emergency-travel-order.html
  • By attending The Moody Church’s ministry activities, you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that you and your family members may be exposed to, including infection by COVID-19. You also acknowledge that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and/or others, including, but not limited to, The Moody Church’s employees, contractors, volunteers, and participants. You agree to assume all the foregoing risks, waive liability against The Moody Church and any other listed parties, and accept sole responsibility for any illness, injury, disability, or death, including all claims that may arise resulting from any of these.
