The Women’s Shepherding Ministry is under the oversight of Mary Lowman and is designed to help the women of The Moody Church model this Titus 2 passage through special mentoring relationships.
Titus 2:3 – 5: Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
We endeavor to form mentoring partnerships for women who desire to have the help and guidance of a mentor in their life. This is done by submitting a brief application and then you will be contacted by one of the leaders, Melody or Jenn. They will prayerfully endeavor to find a mentor match for you and give further information and instruction on how your mentoring partnership will work.
We always welcome women to apply as a mentor—to share your life and your wisdom with a younger woman. That also begins with an application and you will be then contacted by Melody or Jenn. There is no greater joy than this one-on-one discipleship. The mentor’s life is greatly enriched by sharing with a mentee.
“Some things in life we can only know through experience, because growth always happens in relationship — in connection — in community,”
– Jayme Hull, author of Face to Face: Discover How Mentoring Can Change Your Life
