We believe it takes an entire community to come along side someone whose life has been shattered through sexual exploitation. We look to volunteer partners, community and church partners, and financial partners to support the women at Naomi’s House so that they can pursue a new life.

Upcoming Events

Volunteer Partners

A beautiful way to partner with the women at Naomi’s House is to consider purchasing something from our Wishlist. These items go to the women living at Naomi’s House as well as women in our NH4 Transitional Living program. Select from our Amazon Wishlist or Target Wishlist.

You may also consider sending gift cards to our women — empowering them to shop for their own clothes, home goods, and choosing restaurants and groceries is something they love to do and builds a sense of dignity and independence. Favorite places for gift cards include: Walmart, Target, Home Goods, Kohls, McDonalds, Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks, and Dunkin’.

Naomi’s’ House is expanding! We are launching a new program that will provide hope and healing to women who have commercially sexually exploited through day programming. This program, called The Gathering Place, is the only program of its kind in the Chicagoland area where the need to help trafficking survivors is increasing – help us stock the new site with what we need to get started! Your partnership will provide and equip women with resources they need to start a new life. You may drop items off at The Moody Church September 12, 19 and 26 (look for the Naomi’s House table in the lobby) or send things directly from the registry to The Gathering Place. Thank you!

Advocates can serve in the community on behalf of Naomi’s House, advocating for survivors by education and bringing awareness of the issue to our community.  Someone in this role networks in the community, helps us fundraise and plan events, and can also help represent us at churches and conferences. Advocates can also facilitate one-time events for the residents at Naomi’s House by using their gifts and creative ideas!

Ideas of how to volunteer as an advocate include (but are not limited to):

  1. Host a Shower — We have on-going tangible needs of things we need for our women. If you’d like to host a shower to help fulfill some of these things, let us know! We will provide the list and come give a Naomi’s House presentation to your friends. Books, art supplies, and gift cards are a few examples of things we need.
  2. Special Events — This role is needed when there is a one-time special event at Naomi’s House and we need a volunteer to help lead the project. For example, we look for advocates to help decorate Naomi’s House for holidays and other special celebrations throughout the year. Advocates can also help prepare a special meal or provide gifts for residents for one-time celebrations (birthdays, holidays, graduations, etc.)
  3. Volunteer with us at conferences, churches, and other community events. If you enjoy networking and connecting with people, we can use you! A person in any of these roles should be passionate about ending human trafficking and helping survivors start a new life!

Program Volunteers serve on a regular basis within the Naomi’s House program. We encourage interested volunteers to start as a Tour Guide at NH! Tour Guides provide transportation to the women in our program. Routes are throughout the week and can be as consistent as your schedule allows. Tour Guides have the unique opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with women at NH while being a “guide” to equipping each woman at NH to live our her goals of education, meaningful work, and therapeutic resources. Tour Guides play an incredibly important role in helping our women achieve their goals!

Other Program Volunteer roles include serving our women through teaching life skills, leading group therapy, cooking meals, leading Bible studies, and more. Program Volunteers must:

  1. Fill out the Program Volunteer Application
  2. Take a Background Check
  3. Supply 2-3 references
  4. Go through training from the NH staff

Mentors are Program Volunteers with a longer-term commitment. Women who have the gift of shepherding and discipleship are needed to walk alongside the women in our program. Mentors commit to meet with women on a regular basis and become integral relationships in the women’s lives. Mentor Volunteers must:

  1. Fill out the Program Volunteer Application
  2. Take a Background Check

The Church must lead the way to end the cycle of human trafficking. We are committed to working with churches to provide the education and information people need in order to identify human trafficking victims and implement solutions to end it. We can provide seminars, volunteer training, prayer summits, and more to equip and inspire the Church. We ask churches to include us in annual mission conferences, volunteer opportunities for your congregation, and annual or one-time funding needs. Email us at for more information.

We depend completely on the donations of individuals and churches to run our programs. Our Hero Campaign is for donors who commit to monthly giving. We believe it takes a hero to embrace her past and work through it to gain a new life, and it takes a hero to stand with her every step of the way while she does so. When you commit to monthly giving, you are telling each woman that you believe in her, honor her, and have hope for her future!
