Hello!
Thank you all for a wonderful family party this past Sunday! It was such a fun time of eating and celebrating together. We love our 5th grade students and we had a great time sending them off with our love and prayers. I’ve attached two pictures of our volunteers and their new toilet paper outfits. 🙂
As a reminder we will be singing in the morning service this Sunday, May 11. Please let me know if your child will not be able to join us so that we are not worried about them on Sunday morning.
Please be sure to meet us at 8:30a.m. in Kappler Hall for a quick warmup and then we will head out to the Sanctuary for rehearsal. Singers should wear white on the top and black on the bottom. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We will meet back down in Kappeler hall right after the children sing for a quick snack and pickup. 🙂 If you would like to help purchase items for the snack, please let me know!
For those of you who were not able to make it to the family party or left early, there was an important announcement. After many years of wonderful ministry, I am moving out of Illinois to be nearer to my family. I have loved my time in Chicago more than I can say and Children’s Chorus has been the brightest spot throughout my time here. I am so grateful to you, and all the families who have been a part of the choir, for your generosity and your encouragement as I have learned how to teach and have grown in my skills as a choir director. It has been such a joy to partner with you in teaching your children about who the Lord is and how much He loves them. I will miss everyone dearly and I pray God’s richest blessings on you as you continue to worship and sing for Him.
With all my love,
Elsa Wiese
