We’ve been working around the clock over to put together our Annual Report. It’s honestly one of my favorite things to do each year! This reporting tool looks back at 12 months of the work we’ve done – the work you’ve supported – and we can celebrate!

2020 has been our biggest year yet. We’re approaching the fourth anniversary of the launch of Naomi’s House Residential Program, and we’re also quickly approaching the first anniversary of NH4, our Independent Living Program.

Below is a sneak peek at what you’ll see in our Annual Report.

As exciting as these number are, the most exciting part of this year’s report is the lives changed because of our programs. One woman said that she found Naomi’s House “So warm and welcoming. It’s a beautiful house. Graceful, godly and beautiful women work with us at the house…and I learned a lot about God. While [I lived there], I was able to stay sober…and I learned how to live life without drugs. NH gave me so much. I feel worthy and loved for just being a human being. I didn’t have to make any kind of transaction or commitment, I just had to be myself.”

Our NH4 Program has also exceeded our hopes for this year. We already have five women living on their own and stepping out onto the foundations they worked so hard to create while at NH. One of my favorite pieces to this program is how families are being restored. CB is a NH4 resident is living with her daughter—independently of anyone else or any other program—for the first time ever. During the pandemic they’ve been able to make up for lost time as CB works toward her degree in cosmetology and her teenager does e-learning. Recently CB shared during a leadership seminar that she has learned to put away the lies of what people have told her – she said if she could give her younger self advice, it would be “You are not what people told you you were. You are so much more.” I don’t know if she realized that by saying that in front of her own daughter, she was directly undoing any lies that her daughter was believing about her own self-worth. CB’s daughter is witnessing her mother heal and grow before her very eyes.

Watching these women thrive has made all the work it took to launch and sustain Naomi’s House and NH4 worth every minute. God is transforming people’s lives and He’s using NH as one of His tools. He is so good.

I hope you’re eager to read more! You’ll have the chance to do so soon. In the meantime, please keep NH in your prayers – the end of the year is an important fundraising season for us and we need to raise $200,000 more than last year for our operating budget in order to sustain our growth. If you want to help us jump start our goals, you can donate online. THANK YOU in advance for considering an early year-end gift.

Much love,

Executive Director
