When are your service times?
Sunday Morning Worship Service 9:50am (this is our main Sunday service)
Sunday Evening Gathering 5:00pm
Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting 6:45pm
What should I expect at the morning service?
Every Sunday, approximately 2000 people gather for music, Scripture reading and a message from the Bible intended to bring about transformation in our lives. We are, in effect, preparing ourselves to be ambassadors for Christ in the world.
Near the start of our 90-minute service, the ushers offer informational packets to visitors to enable them to learn more about The Moody Church. Our guests are also invited to attend a Visitors Reception after the morning service to find out more.
What should I wear?
We come to church to worship God, so modest dress is appropriate. However, all styles are welcome, and you’ll see people wearing anything from jeans to suits.
What should I expect at the evening service?
Our Sunday Evening Gathering tends to be more casual than our Sunday morning service. The service, which lasts about an hour, is filled with music, prayer and Bible teaching, and is followed by a time for refreshments and the opportunity to get to know others.
What should I do when the offering basket is passed?
The offering is intended for our members and regular attenders. As our guest, you are under no obligation to give to the church, so feel free to let the basket pass by. However, we would love to have you fill out one of the Connection Cards located in the seat racks; simply place the completed card in the offering basket.

When do you celebrate Communion?
Our normal practice is to serve communion on the first Sunday of each month. We welcome all who profess the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior to receive communion—you do not need to be a member of The Moody Church to participate.
What if I need prayer?
Every Sunday morning, Prayer Partners are available at the front of the sanctuary after the service to assist you with spiritual needs or to help you get connected with church groups and ministries.
How do I get connected with other members of the church?
We at The Moody Church recognize that our spiritual journey is done as a community and involves every stage of life. We strive to create a culture of connectivity and spiritual growth through our various classes and small groups. Our hope is that all who attend will feel like they belong, that they are valued and appreciated, and will form genuine friendships through the opportunities for fellowship, worship, prayer, encouragement, and support. Stop by the Connection Corner in the main lobby for more information.
What is available in the Media Center?
The Media Center, which is open for thirty minutes following the morning service, carries Pastor Lutzer’s books and sermons as well as CDs of the morning message. The Media Center also stocks a small assortment of ESV Bibles that are available for purchase. If you have questions about any Moody Church media materials or publications, please ask.
Do you have anything special for visitors?
If you’re coming to The Moody Church for the first time, we would love to have you join us after the morning service for a special reception. We welcome the opportunity to help you get to know our church family and to see why people decide to make The Moody Church their home. Come and join us in the Visitors Center—we have a gift waiting for you!
Do you offer tours of the church?
Each Sunday we offer a short tour of the Sanctuary. Please meet us in the Visitors Center following the service.
If you are coming with a group on a Sunday and would like a tour of the church, you may email Melinda on our Vistors Center staff and she will be happy to arrange for a group tour.
