Predestination refers to the doctrine that God plans in advance all that comes to pass, for His own glory and according to His own purpose.
Why is this doctrine important to us? First, because it affects every one of us; because it is also a great comfort for believers; and finally, because it leads us to worship.
It seems an unsolvable dilemma: how can a perfectly holy God have contact with sinful humanity without contaminating Himself? God Himself provided the solution: He credits us with His own righteousness.
