In TMC Kids, our mission is to partner with parents and caregivers to raise children who know, love, and serve Jesus. There are many opportunities to serve with us as we seek to introduce children, birth-5th grade, to the life-changing message of the gospel. Fill out the contact form below to get started!
AWANA Leaders – Serve weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:30pm. You will get to build relationships with the kids throughout the year and assist with Handbook time, Large Group time and Game time.
Book Nook Helpers – Serve on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights helping families find books & resources for their children, organizing & cataloging resources and checking materials in & out.
Kids Jam Assistants – Join our Kids Jam team on various Friday mornings in the Fall, Winter & Spring, helping welcome families & children to Kids Jam. Role may include helping with check in, powerpoint, hosting, snack preparations & building relationships with caregivers.
Special Needs Friends – Join us to partner with special needs children to make their Moody Church experience more engaging. Love a little one with individual attention or communicate through sign language. Each volunteer will be trained.
Sunday Nursery & Toddler Team – Serve once a month on Sunday mornings caring for our youngest children (infants, crawlers, toddlers & 2-year-olds). You will get to play with them, help create a loving environment and build relationships with each child.
Sunday School Assistants and Teachers – Serve once a month on Sunday mornings with children assisting in Sunday School classes. You will get to build relationships with the kids and assist in class with crafts, lessons, small group times and other activities.
Welcome Team – Serve once a month on Sunday mornings or regularly on Wednesday nights welcoming new families, answering questions and helping check in children using our electronic kiosk system.
Team Equipping Updates
Our winter team training session was a huge success! Professor Elizabeth Smith spoke on communicating the gospel to children throughout every aspect of our children’s ministry, including how we model the Gospel as we interact with each other and with children. We discussed key questions that we must address with children when presenting the gospel, the “one anothers” of the New Testament, and the essentials of the gospel.
