Freedom Sisters

About: Freedom Sisters is a group of women who hold Bible studies at the Cook County Jail on a monthly basis.  This ministry is led by Heather Bausell under Mary Lowman’s oversight.

One Saturday a month we go to the women’s jail from 12:00 to 1:30, where we meet with the women in various rooms—or “pods”—and we share Bible truth that can truly set these women free.  To be a part of this ministry, you must apply to the ministry through Heather Bausell, and then an extensive application has to be submitted to the Cook County Sheriff’s office for approval.

Below is more information on involvement in this ministry, as well as application forms.

Sisters in Christ

About: The Sisters in Christ class is a diverse group of women who care and support each other with love and prayers.  Our community includes singles, marrieds, widows and divorced women, across a wide age range of ages from their 20s and up.

Every Sunday at 8:30am in room 303, we study the Word of God together in a style that invites participation. Mary Lowman teaches in a very practical way, showing how to apply the principles of God’s Word into our everyday lives. We also have a time of prayer for each other.
