Lutzer Offertory Jason Cates, Jennifer Rosanwo and Brandon Chism “Doxology – A Word of Praise” Hymnal 815 Praise God from Whom all blessings flow; praise Him, all creatures here below. Praise Him, above – ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen. Scripture Reading John 15:1–11 (ESV) Dr. Hutz Hertzberg “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” Nothing Else Matters God's Glory in Our Lifestyle 1 Corinthians 10:31–33 Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer “May the Mind of Christ, My Savior” Hymnal 568 Statement of Faith I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried… The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, God's holy church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. This past week at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, I was impressed with the number of media ministries around the world. We can be thankful that the Gospel is going out to millions of people in dozens of countries; but even so, there is much that we can do. I want to thank you for your support of our own radio/internet ministry. Together we are making a difference! The Thirst Conference begins in two weeks! Let us continue to prepare our hearts for this unique time of seeking God together, with repentance and renewal. Remember our Day of Prayer and Fasting on March 17. Have a blessed week Pastor Lutzer |
