  Selections from Psalm 139 (NIV)

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.

You know when I sit and when I rise;

  you perceive my thoughts from afar.

You discern my going out and lying down;

  you are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue

  you know it completely, O Lord.

For you created my inmost being;

  you knit me together in my mother's womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

  Your works are wonderful,

    I know that full well.

All the days ordained for me were written in your book

  before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!

Pastor to People - Sunday, May 11, 2008

This past week, Rebecca and I paid a short visit to my parents in Canada.  As you know, my mother is 99 and my father is 105.  I am grateful for a wonderful heritage and example that has been left by them.  Pray that I will be as faithful as they have been in their love for Christ.

Let me share my heart with you: we are taking on some huge challenges here at The Moody Church.  This morning I will introduce Eric Naus, who will be joining our staff as Pastor of University Ministries.  We simply cannot bypass the opportunities God is giving us to share the Good News with our student population!

Great things are happening at The Moody Church and we need your support to see them carried to completion!
