Young Marrieds Young Families

Welcome to the Your Marriage Your Family Class! We curiously refer to ourselves as "YMYFs" (pronounced "yim yifs"), routinely communicate via email and a class blog, and meet each Sunday morning at 11:30 AM in CLC 108, just off the main lobby.

You will encounter a large and loving group of married couples who are serious about understanding and obeying God's Word. We deal with topics and Biblical texts which intersect our deepest and most important relationships: our marriages and our families. And our careers and the press of the culture are not far behind.

Most of us have been married 10 years or less; some have started a family and many have not; we come from all parts of the Chicago area and represent a variety of church backgrounds, ethnicities, educations and occupations. We range in age mostly from the 20's to the 40's (excluding our "aged" mentors/teachers Bob & Linda). On any given Sunday morning you will find both a broad range of ages and stages – from newly married to “veteran” couples - and a sense of real community.

The YMYFs actively help new moms with meals, meet in a variety of small Bible study groups, play volleyball, pick apples and celebrate the holidays together. God is blessing us with growth numerically and, most importantly, spiritually.
