The Moody Church Camping Ministry
Many wonderful and exciting things happen at camp every summer that moves
kids to marvel at God’s creation. Whether it is the singing,
swimming, journaling, or spending time around a camp fire, it all helps
the kids to praise the name of Jesus. This summer we are excited
to offer our traditional Jr./Sr. High camp and the Junior camp. Returning
again is the Primary Day camp and Soccer Camp. Please read below
to get a brief description of each week.
We are trying to make the registration
process very easy. Once
you have determined that your child/youth is available to attend their
week. Please fill out the appropriate forms and return them to
the church office. To reserve a spot for the Jr./Sr. Camp
and Junior Camp we are requiring a $50 deposit. We are asking for
a $15 deposit for the Primary Camp.

SOCCER CAMP
June 22-26
5 – 15
yr olds
The Soccer Camp is designed for 5 to 15 year olds which will be held
at Beckman Field (N.W. corner of Wells and Oak). We will be partnering
with The Chicago Eagles’ an organization based in Wheaton. The
goal of this week is to offer soccer players of all levels high quality
soccer instruction in a fun, positive, Christian environment. The coaches
will bring a high level of understanding of the game, taking seriously
their responsibility as role models and they will model a Christian lifestyle. The
Chicago Eagles mission statement is: “Committed to sharing the
message of Jesus Christ through the environment of soccer.”

JUNIOR CAMP
June 27-July 3
9 – 12 yr
olds
This summer the Junior Camp will be held at Silver Birch Ranch in northern
Wisconsin. This camp week is focused on connections. The program
provides opportunities for all campers to connect with friends, counselors,
and God. Throughout the week, events are planned to help students grow
up – in their relationship with God; and grow out – in their
relationship with others. Join us for this week of relationship-building
activities, amazing events, and faith-challenging meetings. Some
of the activities the kids will enjoy include kayaking, waterskiing,
buckboard breakfast, interesting seminar options, live music, great guest
speakers, advanced horseback riding, sports competitions.

PRIMARY CAMP
July 13-17
6 – 8
yr olds
After a successful first year we are excited to be able to offer “Living
for Jesus is Fun!” which is a Primary day camp for our 1st through
3rd graders. The week is being designed so kids can make new friends,
interact with cool counselors and have a blast while learning about God.

CHRISTIAN YOUTH THEATER - NEW THIS YEAR!
July 20-24
5 – 12 yr olds
The Moody Church is hosting this week long children’s theater camp presented by Christian Youth Theater (CYT) highlighting songs from High School Musical 1, 2, and 3. Campers will meet new friends and have a blast through games, workshops in drama, singing & choreography and a Friday showcase.

Ages 5-6: 9am – noon (Friday 9am – 3pm), $110 early bird*/ $125 after

CYT has been in the Chicago suburbs for 11 years and is now reaching into the city. They are an afterschool program training children in theater arts classes, also producing full scale musical productions for children in various communities and summer camps. There will be some positions for volunteer camp helpers age 16+. To volunteer, please e-mail jlance@cytchicago.org.
JR & SR HIGH CAMP
July 25-31
Completed 7th
grade and up
Senior High Camp which is held at Silver Birch Ranch in northern Wisconsin

enjoy include rafting, climbing tower, horseback riding, and waterskiing.

get closer we will be mailing you a letter with final instructions.

Cost:
$200 ($75 deposit; Junior and Jr.& Sr. High Camps)
$50 ($15 deposit; Primary Day Camp & Soccer Camp)
Deposit: The deposit of DUE ON OR BEFORE Deadline
indicated above. The remaining balance is due the first day of camp.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your registration
after June 1, 2008, you will forfeit your entire deposit. These funds will
be put toward Campership funds. If you do decide to cancel, please notify us
as soon as possible in order to provide another child with the opportunity
to go to camp.
Transportation: We will provide transportation to
and from camp. The bus will pick up and drop off at The Moody Church.
