At The Moody Church we are proud of our heritage,
but the past is not the focus of our attention. We strongly believe
that God has called us to meet the needs of this generation through
Biblical instruction and deep personal friendships.
God has given a renewed vision in our hearts to become
known in Chicago as a caring, culturally diverse community that seeks
to transform lives through a clear witness for Christ, quality programming,
and the lifestyle of each believer.
Our world is far different than it was in 1864 when
D. L. Moody founded this church. And yet, in many ways it is still the
same. People still need the message of Christ's love and they still
respond warmly to a caring community. Regardless of position or
station, race or color, all are equal in His eyes. All are welcome
to worship the King of kings and Lord of lords here at The Moody Church.
If you are looking for a church home, consider becoming
involved in our church family by serving the Lord with us.
Warmly, Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer
Senior Pastor

A few words from our Connectors:
Thank you for visiting our site. Next, we hope you visit one of
our church services.
We welcome people of all walks of life, of all nationalities,
economic situations and educations, age and gender—and of any past
or current religion or denomination. Our pastor likes to say, "The
Moody Church looks a bit like heaven" —people from almost
40 different nationalities are members of The Moody Church.
Need handicapped access?
Please join us for our services or Bible studies by entering through
our 1625 N. LaSalle Street entrance. There is a drop off area
at the curb. It has no stairs, accommodating those who are in
wheelchairs or have difficulty with stairs. Also, please feel
free to ask our ushers for assistance, they will be happy to
help you.
How to Get Connected
The best way to meet others and start to feel "connected" is
to:
Attend one of the Sunday morning Adult
Bible Fellowship study groups. There is no need to call in
advance or formally join; just show up. (Be sure to bring your
Bible!) Try several to find one that best fits your interest
area.
Get involved in one of the church's many ministries. God has given
you gifts and abilities to share with others. Find a place to put
them to use and enjoy meeting and working with others at the same
time! Do so through the above Adult
Bible Fellowships, or by responding to any of the many activities
listed in the weekly Sunday bulletin or by volunteering.
Any other questions? Please send
your question to one of our Connectors,
who will respond to you as soon as possible or for immediate matters,
please call the church at 312.327.8600 during office hours.
