Plan Your Visit

Every Sunday, we gather for music, Scripture, and a message from the Bible intended to bring about transformation in our lives. We are, in effect, preparing ourselves to be ambassadors for Christ in the world. The morning service typically lasts 75 minutes.

Guests are also invited to attend the Connection Center after the morning service to find out more about the church and how to get involved.

We come to church to worship God, so modest dress is appropriate. However, all styles are welcome, and you’ll see people wearing anything from jeans to suits.

We have a number of programs and opportunities for your children on Sunday morning. Our TMC Kids program is on the 2nd floor of the church, accessible by all elevators in the building. We offer a secure check-in system at the kiosk computers. A Welcome Team is on staff every Sunday to answer questions, help you check in, and point you in the right direction. Your kids will have a blast with us every Sunday!

We take the health and safety of our congregation seriously and want everyone to feel comfortable in our facility. In addition to rigorous cleaning protocols,  we have hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the facility.

We at The Moody Church recognize that our spiritual journey is done as a community and involves every stage of life. There’s something for everyone here.

We recommend that you take the next steps to get involved by joining a Sunday Community. Before and after the morning service, there are a number of Communities meeting in the Christian Life Center for all walks of life.

Stop by the Connection Corner in the main lobby for more information, or check out the ministries and communities of the church by clicking on the Ministries tab in the navigation bar.

Questions About Church Life

Our normal practice is to serve communion on the first Sunday of each month. We welcome all who profess the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior to receive communion—you do not need to be a member of The Moody Church to participate.

In order to include as many people as possible in the communion ordinance, we serve gluten-free matzo (free of most allergens) and 100% grape juice. A certified allergen-free option is also available. Detailed information about the elements can be downloaded here.

Every Sunday morning, Prayer Partners are available at the front of the sanctuary and on our live stream after the service to assist you with spiritual needs or to help you get connected with church groups and ministries.  You can also request prayer during our Wednesday Prayer Gathering.

The offering is intended for our members and regular attenders. As our guest, you are under no obligation to give to the church. However, we would love to have you fill out one of the Connection Cards located in the seat racks; simply place the completed card in the offering basket. For those interested in giving to the ministry of The Moody Church, you can learn more here.

For group tours occurring on Monday through Friday, please call the church office at 312.327.8600.

Baptism is God’s will for every believer, and we rejoice whenever someone chooses to take that step of obedience here at The Moody Church. We schedule baptism services approximately once each quarter; three of them are included as part of the Sunday morning worship service, and our summer baptism is held in Lake Michigan.

In order to be baptized at The Moody Church, one must be a regular attendee (membership is not required) and be able to demonstrate both a relationship with Christ and an understanding of the purposes of the baptism ordinance. In order to ensure that this is the case, we offer a Baptism Preparation Class, which is required for all who wish to be baptized. There is no cost for the class, and no pre-registration is necessary.
