No matter where you are this morning in your plan to read God’s Word more consistently in 2017, I want to encourage you to keep going! Or, as needed, get going! J The difference reading God’s Word makes in your spiritual growth is difficult to overstate. Consider just two verses: “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4) and “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
The challenge we all face is consistency, right? We start off well but then the busyness of life can crowd out even the most important things. But given the importance of knowing the Lord and hearing from Him, I encourage you to find ways to prioritize reading God’s Word. With God’s help, you can do it—and the difference it makes in your life will be eternal.
For His glory,
