Thursday December 7 | 7:00-8:30PM | Visitors Center

The holiday season is a time full of joy, cheer, parties, and family gatherings. However, for many people, it is a time of loneliness, depression, and anxiety — a time when they feel like an “outsider.” Everyone else seems to be surrounded by love and warmth while you feel alone, cold, and in the dark. The thought of joining family members to celebrate Christmas may fill you with dread, resulting in feelings of guilt and painful memories. You are not alone. There are ways to cope and even to be able to partake in joy during the season.

139’s Mental Health Ministry invites you to join us this Thursday for a time of discussion, led by a licensed counselor from Cornerstone Christian Counseling, on strategies for coping with depression during the holidays.

Admission is free.
